Charming Stay with Room for Improvement
Had a lovely night in a spacious deluxe double room, though my late arrival was met with some confusion. The bar atmosphere was cozy, perfect for unwinding. For future guests, confirm arrival times ahead and consider dining options in town for a broader selection.

perfect base for exploring harpenden's parks and charming cafes
I had a delightful stay, enjoying the cozy atmosphere and the beautiful parks nearby, particularly rothamsted park, which is a short walk away and perfect for a relaxing stroll. plus, the vibrant local heart with excellent food options makes it a great choice for weekend adventures. perfect for strolling travelers, the staff were friendly and helpful, creating a warm atmosphere throughout my stay, although breakfast isn't provided on-site, but there are plenty of nearby cafes for a quick bite from the local shops, just steps away from your room.

comfortable stay but lively atmosphere
The room offered excellent sound insulation, allowing for a peaceful night despite the pub's buzz. I appreciated the little extras, like the choice of tea and coffee options with fresh milk.
The lively atmosphere might not suit everyone.

It was just a balanced option for a mini-break over the weekend in Harpenden with reasonable price. The room had a large bathtub which was a nice surprise. Tip, Prepare for potential noise from the church bells on Sunday mornings.

The room was spacious and warm, with a really nice bathroom featuring a high-end shower. I loved the large comfortable bed, which made it easy to sleep well. It was a bit odd having a separate entrance for the rooms, but it worked out fine. The only downside was that breakfast took ages to arrive, which was kind of a hassle.

The room was super comfy for a solo escape, and I loved lounging in the quaint garden area with its cozy seating and lovely flowers. Just a heads up, it was a bit noisy at night with music from the pub below. I enjoyed my stay, and I’d definitely recommend it for a relaxing getaway! 🌼

the room was spacious and clean, really liked the comfy bed. nice pub feel and the staff were super friendly. we only stayed one night but it was a great experience. had a chill night and slept well. wish we could've tried the food, it looked good!
only downside was the lack of parking around, took us a while to find a spot. also, check-in was a bit weird since i paid through hotels.com but had to pay again at the hotel.
